How loud is it? I'm not wanting an extremely loud or obnoxious exhaust, but would like some performance gains, with some growl on acceleration.
The aFe Power 49-48082 Rock Basher 3" Cat-Back Exhaust System is on the moderate to aggressive side, featuring a muffler-delete design that dumps right before the rear axle.
Sound Profile: It produces a deep, throaty growl under acceleration and a strong tone when you step on it, but it can be loud and prone to cabin drone at highway cruising speeds because there is no rear muffler to tone it down.
Recommendation: If you want just a subtle growl without a loud cabin drone, a traditional axle-back or cat-back system with a muffler (like aFe's Rebel or MACH Force XP series) is a better fit than the un-muffled Rock Basher.
