Having trouble getting into your Jeep now that it is lifted? Installing a set of AMP Research PowerStep XL on your Jeep Gladiator JT will provide you with a 3" lower stepping surface than the regular PowerStep. Perfect for either lifted or stock height Jeeps, these 85" steps will automatically extend and retract with the open and close of the door. Integrated LED lights illuminate the textured powder coated black steps made of die-cast aluminum alloy. The maintenance free design of the motors and bushings also make them weather resistant and worry free. Fits both gas and diesel equipped models.

The fact that the step drops when entering/exiting the jeep is a great advantage. The LED lighting of the step at night is a plus feature.

I have a 2025 Jeep Gladiator looking at the Amp XL running boards #77135-01A what is the measurment from the door sil to the top of the running boards ?
For the AMP Research PowerStep XL, the measurement from the door sill to the top of the running board when deployed is approximately 9.5 to 10 inches.
This "XL" model is specifically designed for lifted trucks and provides a 3-inch lower drop than the standard PowerStep. When retracted, the board sits flush inside a custom rocker rail that mimics the look of a factory rock slider.

How well does this work off road? Like can it actually act like a rock slider or is it really more meant for looks and everyday functionality?
Amp Research steps are not designed to be used as rock sliders. The XL step kit has a cosmetic rock rail, but it is not designed to be used as one.

Would these steps have too much of a drop to work on a stock Gladiator Mojave?
No, but the factory equipped rock rail would require removal prior to installation. Drop on the PowerStep XL is approximately 9.5-10". Thanks for your inquiry.
