AWE Exhaust Trail Edition Cat-Back Exhaust Reviews
Got this for my '17 JK 2 door. Removal of the OEM exhaust system took longer than installing this AWE system. I found it was easier to remove the rear OEM muffler first, that allowed the pipe that goes over the rear axel to drop down enough to loosten the nut up front behind the Y-pipe. AWE install was basically two pipes and exhaust clamps. Overall I'm very happy with the easy install, nice tucked up exhaust and no tip to get smashed on a rock. Plus my JK sounds sporty with an aggressive growl. There isn't much drone in the cab. The exhaust note is no louder than the mud tires howling down the highway or the wind noise that's already there. I also have an Injen cold air intake and paired with this exhaust, the JK has a noticable bump in power from a hard launch (I have some wheel spin now) Overall, very awesome exhaust from AWE and I enjoy the throaty, aggressive note.
Questions
In fact, this exhaust is specifically designed with lifted Jeeps in mind. Because the Trail Edition is a "high-tuck" system that eliminates the bulky rear muffler and exits right after the axle, it actually solves many common clearance issues that lifted Jeeps face with factory-style exhausts.
