Fit like a glove. In Jeeps without the electric fan before, make sure you get the wiring kit with relay.

Why will this not fit an 86 with a 258 engine?
The Cold Case Radiators MOJ990AK Performance Radiator is engineered with an oversized two-row aluminum core and dual electric fans specifically dimensioned for 1970–1985 Jeep CJ models, causing fitment issues on 1986 model years.
Year-Specific Core Support Change: Jeep changed the radiator mounting layout and core support configuration for the final 1986 CJ model year, meaning 1970–1985 units do not align correctly with 1986 factory mounting holes.
Engine Clearance & Depth: The 258 cubic-inch (4.2L) inline-six engine sits further forward in the engine bay on specific CJ setups, and the added depth of this dual 12-inch electric fan kit creates severe clearance issues against the water pump pulley.
