Description
The Crown Automotive Fuel Cap is a direct fit replacement for JL Wranglers and Gladiator JT with gas engines. This vented fuel cap includes the plastic tether that presses into the body cavity so if you cannot mistakenly drive off without it. Maintains factory emissions and has audible clicks to let you know it is engaged.

How do you attach the tether?
Locate the Tether Attachment Point on Your Vehicle: Open your fuel door and look for a small hole or a T-shaped post near the hinge or on the inner side of the fuel door opening. This is where the tether is designed to connect.
Identify the Tether End: On the fuel cap, you'll see the tether is already attached. The other end of the tether will have a plastic or rubber piece designed to fit into the hole or loop over the post on your fuel door. This might be a simple plug or a loop with a retaining clip.
Attaching to a Hole: If your vehicle has a hole, the plastic or rubber end of the tether will likely have a barb or clip that you need to push into the hole. You might hear a small "snap" or feel it click into place when it's secure.
Attaching to a Post: If your vehicle has a T-shaped post, the loop on the end of the tether needs to be maneuvered over the top of the "T". Sometimes, the loop has a small opening that needs to be stretched or positioned correctly to go over the wider part of the "T" and then slide down to the narrower section to stay in place.
