Crown Automotive Oil Filter Bypass Valve Reviews
I had to replace it after the dealer's crew crushed it. This new one went in easy. Before anyone says these things break occasionally, read on. Within a month, the same dealer's crew tighten the filter cap on my other Jeep, a 15KL, so tight that when they tried to remove it the next change they broke the entire oil cooler housing. This would have been the final straw that sent me back to changing my own oil, but when I checked the oil a few hundred miles later it was old looking, old smelling, and was a quart low. That was the point that I went back to DIY and discovered the broken Bypass Valve for this review.
