Do u take the soft top bars off or do they stay on

How does this top secure to the tub. I currently have a soft top. Will I also need to use my soft top tailgate rail?
The cover hooks on to the tubs body channel, nothing to screw or drill. Yes, you'll need to have a taile gate bar whether it's the same one used for a soft top or one bought specifically for use with the cover.
