Hitch is very well made, heavy and fits the jeep very well. The only problem I had was that it would not fir with my Fishbone Mid with bumper. I was able to mount it by cutting the bottom of the bumper. I called Quadratec and was told that it should fit. If you have the Fishbone mid with bumper you will have to cut the bumper to make it fit.
Questions
Mounting Points: The CURT 31086 is a "concealed" hitch designed to mount to the frame rails behind the factory plastic bumper. It specifically requires trimming the lower plastic fascia to allow the 2-inch receiver to protrude.
QRC Bumper Design: The Quadratec QRC Bumper is a heavy-duty steel unit that features an integrated winch plate and deep-reaching side supports. These steel components occupy the same physical space as the main cross-tube of the CURT hitch.
Hardware Interference: Both the hitch and the bumper's mounting brackets compete for the same holes on the side of the frame rails. Using both would require custom spacers and likely longer grade-8 hardware, which is not recommended as it can compromise the tow/pull ratings of both parts.
Recommendation
If you need a front receiver while running an aftermarket steel bumper, your best options are: Winch-Mount Receiver: Since the QRC bumper has a built-in winch plate, you can use a Receiver Winch Mount that bolts into the winch footprint, effectively giving you a 2-inch receiver at the top of the bumper.
Specialized Bumpers: Some bumpers, like the Warn Elite Series, are designed with better clearance for chassis-mounted accessories, but even then, a frame-mounted front hitch like the CURT 31086 is almost always designed for factory-style configurations only.
