Will this fit the brackets on the side of the roll bar with the soft top on - but in down position? Or does the top need to be off altogether?

Do you have to remove hardtop to install?
They suggest top removal for install. The top needs to be lifted in areas to get the material around the roll bar and will be cumbersome if attempting to do with the top in place. Thanks for your inquiry.
