DV8 Offroad Hardtop Reviews
At the moment I'm not overly impressed with this product. For the amount of money I paid I would have expected better quality.
1) It shipped in a crate with the top open and the hardtop was inside so that if it rained the inside carpet would get wet (which it Did)
2) No instructions came with it, I had to find them on line
3) There are 6 hold on each side that allow it to be bolted to the jeep, One of which was 2 inches off so I had to drill it my self.
4) When I put the front part on, it did not look like it was level with the front, and when it rained it leaked down both doors.
5) The instructions did not cover the installation off the rear window.
5) It has now been 4 days and I just noticed that the trim on the bottom front on hte drivers side is coming off.
I will say that it looks nice and it does make the ride quieter. But for the price of the product I was expecting more quality
Product arrived, but did not include the hardware to install the top. Maybe 10% of the hardware was floating around loose in the actual top (not enclosed in a bag), and the way the packaging is done the top is open to the elements. Looks like somebody grabbed a handful of nuts and bolts and tossed them in just before it left the warehouse. Presumably nearly all fell out in the delivery truck and were lost, who knows. Called Quadratec, told I would have replacement hardware within a week. We're going on 2 weeks now, and I've been stuck chasing both Quadratec and DV8 with phone calls and long hold times.. Would expect with an item of this price level for an issue like this to be resolved within 24 hours, not 10+ days. This was a Christmas gift for my son, who is supposed to drive his jeep back to college this week. Whether he will have the luxury of a roof over his head as he drives back in winter weather remains to be seen. Please note this review pertains only to the level of customer service and/or packaging of the product. The product itself seems nice, but will only be able to ascertain that when I'm able to attach it to the Jeep.
