Not only does this hood give your Jeep an aggressive off-road look but the vets allow for better air flow to help keep your engine bay cool. wont it let a lot of water in on top of the engine i have a sahara 4xe im worried about my electrical wireing under hood getting to wet ,also it says it weighs 70 pounds does that include packaging or just the hood
While the hood features large open vents, it is generally considered safe for the engine bay, including the high-voltage components of a 4xe.
Water Management: The vents are designed to allow air to escape while driving. When parked, some water will enter, but the engine bay of a Jeep is already an "open" environment designed to handle moisture from driving through rain and puddles.
4xe Electrical Safety: Jeep engineers the 4xe's electrical connectors and high-voltage cabling to be weather-sealed and waterproof (IP67 rated in many cases). The wiring is designed to survive heavy rain and even deep-water fording.
Drainage: Most of the water that enters through the top vents will simply run down the sides of the engine block and exit through the bottom of the engine bay, away from sensitive sensors.
The reported weight of 70 pounds refers to the shipping weight. The hood itself is made of stamped steel and usually weighs closer to 45–50 pounds.

Does this come with the insulated under hood liner?
Yes the hood comes with an under-hood insulation liner and is prepped with a rust inhibitor. The hood ships ready to be painted, and installed.
