DV8 Offroad RS-6 Rear Bumper Reviews
Got this bumper for my 08 4 door and I love it! Easy install even though I didn't get instructions. Looks really good on my Jeep.
I put this bumper on my Recon and my wife's Sport, so I liked it enough to buy it a second time. It's well built and has great clearance compared to the factory hitch setup. I initially had some trouble on the first install, the trick is to very loosely bolt it to the fender rails, then lift it and move it around until all four hitch-area bolts are in place. Get those tightened down, then go back to the frame rail bolts.
I contacted DV8 when I had trouble with the first one, they said there should be a spacer plate between the bumper and the frame rail where the hitch bolts are located, but neither of the bumpers I bought had this plate. They were very responsive and helpful, however. (And they're in the US, even if the bumper wasn't made here.)
Like Fernando's recent review, I was disappointed there is no provision for wiring, but I bought this twice, and I'd still buy it a third time.
This bumper matches up with my DV8 armor style fenders (FENDB-09) perfectly. The install was straight forward and pretty simple. The reason I didn't give this product a 5 star rating is: There is no where to secure the tow hitch wiring harness plug
