This rack will work with hardtops, your soft top up or if you decide to go topless, it will not work with your soft top in the down position. Holds up to 150lbs.

When installed with no top, can the hard top be place on top of this, or does this require disassembly when adding/removing the hard top?
This cannot be placed in between the hardtop and tub rail, It would cause an improper seal, it has to be installed on top of the hardtop. Apologies for the inconvenience.
