Function: These mounts give you the ability to mount LED cube lights to your jack mount on your hood so you can still store your jack there while having additional lighting too.
Installation: These are a quick installation attaching to your hood mount. To mount them on a Wrangler JL you will need to reverse the way that they fit on a Wrangler JK.

Hi-Lift Hood Mount Light Brackets Reviews
Bracket was easy to install after the bolts broke loose from the factory. You need a small impact drill to remove them.
Very easy to install. Has held up great on the trails.
Questions

Here is the difference:
Standard Mounting (JK): The brackets point forward (toward the front grille). On a JK, this positions the main jack bar perfectly across the hood while leaving clear space around the center-mounted windshield washer nozzle so it can still spray the glass.
Reverse Mounting (JL & JT): The brackets are flipped so they point backward (toward the windshield). Because the JL hood has a sharper slope, a different hinge footprint, and dual washer nozzles built directly onto the hood, reversing the brackets pulls the jack slightly closer to the glass. This ensures the heavy steel bar sits level, aligns correctly with the JL's factory hinge bolt holes, and prevents the jack's foot or mechanism from blocking the spray pattern of the redesigned washer nozzles.
Essentially, you use the exact same hardware for both vehicles, but you rotate the base brackets 180 degrees depending on whether you are putting them on a JK or a JL/JT.
