Husky Liners Guardian Comfort Premium Carpeted Front Floor Covering Reviews
Easy installation
Awesome product!! When I opened the box I initially was not impressed. It kind of looked cheap but I decided to try it out. Installation was easy. Everything thing (front and rear) took about 2 hours and I was very impressed with the end result. I would definitely recommend getting this product!
Good price for what appears to be a great product
Questions

Here is the breakdown of why this works and how to handle the winter "dry fit":
1. The Temperature Rule
The Bedrug instructions state that the floor surface must be at least 68°F (20°C) for the adhesive backing on the Velcro to bond correctly. If you try to stick it in winter, the tape will almost certainly fail or peel off once the floor warms up, making the Velcro useless later.
2. The "Form-Fit" Advantage
Unlike traditional thin carpet, the Bedrug is heat-molded to the shape of the Jeep TJ's floor pan.
Front Section: The front pieces are held in place significantly by the center console, seat brackets, and the shifter boots. Once you tuck them under the edges of the console and around the seat mounts, they are quite secure and won't shift much during normal driving.
Rear Section: The rear floor is held down by the rear seat mounts and the roll bar footings.
3. What will "flop"?
While the floor pieces will stay put, the vertical pieces (like the wheel well covers in the rear kit) will be the most problematic without Velcro. Because they are vertical, gravity will cause them to sag or pull away from the body.
Temporary Fix: If you must install the wheel well covers now, you can "pin" them in place by reinstalling your rear seat belts over them, or simply wait until spring to put the vertical pieces in.
4. Winter Installation Checklist
If you decide to do a "dry fit" now, keep these tips in mind:
Install the Heat Shields: The kit comes with adhesive heat shields for the underside of the front floor pieces (to protect against exhaust/transmission heat). You should apply these now; they stick to the Bedrug material itself, which you can do inside your warm house before taking the rug out to the Jeep.
Keep the Velcro Safe: Store the Velcro strips in a labeled bag inside your house. Don't leave them in the Jeep, as the cold/dampness can degrade the adhesive over time.
Tuck Tight: Be extra diligent about tucking the edges under the plastic trim and center console. This is what provides the mechanical "lock" that replaces the Velcro for now.
When Spring Comes: When it hits 70°F, pull the rug back, clean the floor with isopropyl alcohol, and apply the Velcro then. The rug will already be "settled" into its shape, making the final Velcro placement even easier.
