Injen Evolution Side Mount Snorkel Reviews
Very unhappy with this snorkel. I have a supercharger on my JK and want to protect it, and expected a good seal between snorkel and air box, but didn't get it. The plastic between the snorkel and air box and also between air box and intake tubing leaks HUGELY. The rep I spoke with told me that if I plan on "actually taking it through water" the rubber gaskets provided for the airbox seals would be insufficient... My question is: why are the screws not longer and the gaskets thicker to compensate for the gap that causes the leak? I had to put on a significant amount of silicone to deal with the problem and honestly I don't feel very comfortable that it was enough, meaning that I'm out nearly $800, and have to settle for the silicone DIY to deal with what would've been a simple fix on the R&D side of production. If they would only lengthen the screws and provide a thicker gasket it would solve this problem.
