Injen SES Muffler Delete Kit Reviews
Super easy to install. The hardest part was getting the old muffler out of the rubber hangers. (dish soap helps!) I was a little concerned it may sound too "ricey" but it actually has a nice tone. I"m sure still having the resonator in the mid pipe helps with that. It does seem to sound deeper after you drive a little and the vehicle warms up. My Jeep is a standard shift so it can get a bit obnoxious above 3,000 rpm's if you wind out the gears. The quality is top notch and not seeing that huge ugly muffler hanging in the back is the best part.
Used this in conjunction with a Dynomax Muffler post resonator and was very pleased with the mild tone and no drone at highway speeds. did need to make some extensions for the rear and mid hangers to get them aligned. The system is well tucked up out of the way and the build quality on the delete kit is great.
I tried a high clearance cat back which took off the resonator and it was brutal on the inside and you didn't even get that much more clearance from the kit anyway so I put back the resonator pipe and bolted this tail pipe on.It fits perfect, does away with the muffler is very much the same sounds as some of the dual exhaust $500 mufflers its worth the price you pay and will save by not buying a aftermarket muffler. It does get loud outside when you get after it but its not bad just driving around town.
