SiriusXM Compatibility Options
While the system does not integrate with your factory SiriusXM tuner, you have two primary ways to access satellite radio after installation:
Streaming App: Since the unit is a full Android 11 tablet, you can download the SiriusXM app directly from the Google Play Store. This allows you to stream your favorite stations using the unit's built-in Wi-Fi or an optional SIM card for mobile data.
CarPlay & Android Auto: You can also use Wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to run the SiriusXM app from your smartphone, which will display the interface directly on the 12.1-inch screen.
External Tuner: Unlike some older generations, the GEN 6 listings for this specific Jeep model (JPJL12) explicitly list Satellite Radio under "Factory Features NOT Retained." Some owners have successfully used a SiriusXM SXV300 Connect Vehicle Tuner with a third-party app, but this is not a plug-and-play feature of the Linkswell unit.
Front Camera & Factory Integration
For Rubicon and Launch Edition owners, the retention of certain specialized features is the biggest hurdle with this unit.
Front Trail Cam: Most product documentation explicitly states that the factory front trail camera will not be retained. You will lose the ability to view that specific OEM camera feed on the Linkswell screen.
Workaround: The Linkswell GEN 6 does have three dedicated camera inputs (Front, Rear, and Side). While it won't talk to the factory front camera, you can install an aftermarket front camera and plug it directly into the unit to regain a front-facing trail view.
Rear Camera: Your factory backup camera is fully retained and will display on the 12.1-inch screen.
Will it function like before?
In terms of "plug-and-play" behavior, the system is designed to integrate deeply, but it is not a 1:1 replacement for every UConnect feature.
Sound Quality: This is a major upgrade. With a built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and 16-band EQ, your factory speakers will likely sound better than they did with the stock head unit.
Tech Upgrades: You gain Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, and a full Android 11 tablet that can run apps like Waze, Netflix, or YouTube directly on the dash (with a Wi-Fi or SIM connection).
HVAC Integration: Climate controls are moved to the touchscreen, but the unit includes a physical bezel with real knobs for volume and tuning, which many owners prefer.
What You Lose: In addition to the front camera, you will lose SiriusXM satellite radio (tuner-based), HD Radio, and certain UConnect connected services (like the factory SOS button).
