Check the Factory Body Washer: On many late-model 2026 Gladiators, the interference comes from the oversized factory body mount washer/plate overlapping the space where the slider bracket needs to sit. Installers commonly resolve this by removing the factory body mount washer/plate and trimming/cutting off a small section (roughly 35% of one side) to clear the support bracket, allowing the slider mount to sit flat against the frame.
Verify Bracket Clearance vs. Safety Components: Ensure you aren't trying to force the bracket over an active crash mitigation structure that cannot be altered. If the plate is part of a bolt-on factory deflector bracket, check if it can be unbolted or slightly repositioned. Note that permanent structural modifications to factory safety brackets should be approached with care.
