LoD Offroad Destroyer Shorty Front Bumper Reviews
After about 6 months this still looks great! I have no rust or lightly powdered areas at all. Easy install, a second person to hold the bumper would be a good idea. The packaging it comes is is amazing, wrapped in plastic and surrounded by foam in the box.. Does not come with the skid plate shown in the picture, I eventually bought one directly from LOD as I could not find one here. I like the look, price, ability to keep stock fog lights, light mounts and winch mount holes.
The LOD Offroad Destroyer Shorty front bumper with bull bar for the JK had a clearance issue with my 2018 JKU vacuum pump. Lip on the rear of the bumper made contact when mounted, so I had to grind off a small amount to ensure clearance. Also, the accessory tab welded to the bull bar was welded off-center on the bumper I received approximately 5/8" to the passenger side.
Winch mounting holes could have been placed 3/4" to 1" rearward to allow more clearance between the fairlead mount (sold separately), and thus provide more clearance for the fairlead accessory mount (also sold separately). It is very tight between the front of the winch (in my case a Warn Zeon 10S) and the fairlead.
Bumper itself was well coated (packed excellent to prevent damage). I like the overall style and appearance.
The install just wasn't as straightforward in my experience compared to the installation manual.
