Mishimoto Aluminum Oil Filter Housing Reviews
Bought this to repair the leak on my 2017 Jk. I ran into an issue with the oil sensor that comes with the unit. Unfortunately, the sensor connector does not work with the OEM male connector. I had to swap the sensor from my old unit into the new one. I’ve included a pic showing the new (bottom) and OEM (top). The tangs on the new sensor are wider than the original. For as much as this part costs, this should NOT have been an issue. I can’t say at this point I would increase my rating as this was unexpected. I will have to see how this holds up over time.
Selected this product because it looked more robust than OEM (fully aluminum vs plastic OEM). Failed when it was installed; one of the seals must have been faulty as It dumped out anti freeze as soon as it was pressure tested. Installation was done by licensed mechanic. Not an easy replacement as upper and lower intake must be removed.
