The Mopar Inner Shift Boot can seal up your Wrangler TJ from extra heat and noise coming from the transmission. Over the years the rubber dry rots and cracks, allowing heat to float upwards getting trapped in the transmission tunnel. This factory replacement boot for the NSG370 manual transmission is a small part that can make a big difference in the daily life of your Jeep.

I have a 2006 TJ Rubicon. I called my local dealer to get a part number to replace mine, but they gave me a different part number. Part #: 5166489AA, but that has been discontinued. Is this the correct replacement?
The part number that you were given by the dealership is the decorative outer shift boot that hides the shaft and this inner boot.
