Mopar 82215691AD Rubicon Offroad Bumper for 18-26 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT

I wanted to drop a note on my experience with purchasing this bumper. I went back and forth between the 3 part Mopar bumper and this one for over a year. Quadratec recently dropped the price on this one to the lowest I have ever seen so I jumped on it. One of the reasons I hesitated on this one is that there seems to be a great amount of confusion about it. Particularly about which fog lamps will work with it. I chose this one because of the sale price. But I also like that it is OEM, built like a tank has options of mounting a winch and has OEM tow hooks AND D ring connects on the bottom. Also, it is not as common as the 3 part bumper.

One of the other reasons I really liked this one is that one of the pictures on the Quadratec site shows the tow hooks and D ring connects as Rubicon red. However, the one I have does not have the red tow hooks. They are black. This is not a show- stopper for me as I will just prime them up and paint them OEM red. But I do have to do all the work and buy the paint etc.... if the black or red is important to you make sure you confirm that it ships with red or black tow and recovery hooks. My bumper was packaged on 05/20/2019. So perhaps it is just an early version? @ Quadratec please update your website images to show correct colors for the hooks.

Regarding the fog lights, the mounting bracket that would mount best (based on the plate it will mount to in the bumper) is the JL sport model brackets. These mount with 2 screws on one side and 1 screw on the other. Check the picture I posted to see the mounting plate. The mounting bracket with 2 screws on the same side appears that it will mount up, but it will only be attached on one side of the mounting plate. My guess is that this will not be as strong a mount as the 3 point attachment of the JL sport bracket. I can absolutely confirm that the fog light mounting bracket with the 4 mounting holes (one on each of 4 corners) will not work with this bumper. I am currently trying to use JW Speaker LED fog lights from a 2014 JKU sport (this bumper is going on a 22 JLU Sahara) and they will not match up.

I can't speak to LED vs Halogen and electrical (dealer flash etc) at this point because I have not attempted to connect them. I will try and revise this post or add an update once I have the electrical sorted. I hope this helps. It is a really awesome bumper and thanks again Quadratec for the amazing deal. Cheers!
