Mopar Simulated Bead Lock Wheel Reviews
I love the look. I also color matched the beadlock rings. I recommend having them powder coated for best results and longevity.
Pretty head turning for OEM rims. And since they are OEM, they fit perfectly - no spacers needed with the 35s I'm running.
Questions

True Beadlock Capability: This ring is designed for standard street driving or cosmetic style. If you want to use the wheel as a true functional beadlock for off-roading, you must purchase a separate functional lock ring kit (such as Mopar Part # 77072586AA) and appropriate hardware separately.

Here is how the design works and why the naming can be a bit confusing:
1. Dual Bead Seats (Beadlock-Capable)
The Mopar 77072466AB Wheel is engineered with two distinct mounting surfaces (dual bead seats):
Street-Legal Mounting (DOT-Compliant): Out of the box, the tire’s outer bead mounts on the standard, inner bead seat. This is fully DOT-compliant for everyday highway driving.
True Beadlock Mounting: When you want to run a true beadlock for off-roading, you move the outer tire bead to the outer lip of the wheel.
2. Why They Are Referred to as "Simulated" Out of the Box
The wheel ships from Mopar with a cosmetic, silver beauty ring (or "simulated ring"). This trim ring bolted to the outside mimics the look of a beadlock but does not actually clamp the tire bead to the wheel. Because it is sold and shipped in this street-legal configuration, it is often cataloged by retailers as a "simulated beadlock" wheel.
3. How to Make Them a True Beadlock
To convert these wheels into functional beadlocks, you must purchase and install Mopar's Functional Lock Ring Kit (sold separately). This kit replaces the decorative beauty ring with a thick, heavy-duty functional ring and longer grade-8 hardware that physically clamps the tire's outer bead to the wheel, allowing you to safely run single-digit tire pressures on the trail.
