Mopar Sun Visor Reviews
I agree with Jose G. Great visor, but expensive. I would also agree with installation difficulty of level 1. But let’s talk about uninstalling the existing visors. As you can see in the product images, the visors are kept in place by a screw and a bracket. Removing the screws is easy using a Torx bit. (For my 2010 model I used a T20). However, this leaves behind the bracket. Since this is what is ultimately securing the visor, it understandably fits very tightly. Finding no instructions in my box or on the Quadratec site, I resorted to YouTube. Surprisingly, I could find no video addressing this problem. Quadratec chatbot was not helpful. I try using a needle nose pliers (ChatGPT suggestion) which began to bend the bracket. Once Quadratec support is open, I wait my turn in the queue only to find the tech support individual had never heard of the problem and said it would be escalated and I would get an email (three days has passed with no email). I revisited this project today and forged ahead with the pliers which did eventually work, but without instructions and an indication of the force required I lacked confidence that I would successfully remove the brackets without damaging something. By the fourth bracket I had a decent handle on the best place to grip so I took I video in hopes it would be helpful for someone else. After that, installation was a breeze and the visors literally do just clip in with no screwing necessary; the screws appear necessary for removal only.
Great visor, but expensive
