Rampage Products TrailView Fastback Soft top Reviews
This is not the top I wanted, but I love it.
My previous Wrangler was an '05 TJ, which I had a hardtop and simple safari top for.
I wanted something similar for my new '22 JL that I could easily pull off and switch back to the hardtop, but they just don't exist. Every top is like this one with the flip-up sunrider section over the front seats, which I did not want. It requires bolting the top to the roll cage, thus making it a longer process to switch back to the hardtop. I eventually broke down and bought this top.
I've had it for 2 summers now and love it. It does make switching back to the hardtop a long process, but it works much better as a general top so I have no problems leaving it on from early spring to late November.
I've also found I really like the flip up sunrider hatch. It's quick and easy enough that I can open or shut it at a stop light. I use it a lot more than I expected during the early spring or late fall when I would have just had the hardtop on my TJ.
My favorite feature, which the frameless Bestop top does not have, is being able to store the windows in the top itself. It is insanely convenient. The windows are readily available but also out of the way. I can just stand on the rear and put all three windows back on or take them off and store them right way. On the go. Whomever came up with that idea needs a raise and promotion.
This was half the price of a twill Bestop so decided to take the plunge. So far so good - I particularly like the way the Sunrider element lies flat and the sleeve at the back of the top to store the windows.
So far very pleased with my purchase
The top is good. Just like the one I bought for my jk a few years ago.
