If your Jeep jk did not come with a factory subwoofer, this is probably the next best thing if you don't want to sacrifice cargo space.

I used this kit and hooked it up using the factory radio, and it really does give it a good bump. This won't be a cure-all for having massive bass, and also the won't sound as clear than a traditinoal subwoofer set up using RCA cabled from an aftermarket radio but it still gets the job done.

You will have to tap in to your speaker harness to use RCA adaptors, but this set up also allows you to upgrade your stereo later on and use RCA cables from an aftermarket radio. I haven't done myself, (I was satisfied with how it sounded, just wanted a little bump) but I assume it will sound way more clear and more bass adjustability with an aftermarket radio.

Really impressed with this package. It hits way harder than I ever would have imagined and doesn't get in the way at all. Great kit, very complete.

I thought I should share my experience about this product because I had read a lot of reviews and nobody brought up any of the problems I had with the installation of this product in my 2007 Jeep JKU. I bought the full Kit with Woofer, Amp, and Enclosure because I wanted the much talked about "painless and fast install". Unfortunately the install was far from that. Here are the issues I hit:
1. The speaker wiring tap says to remove tape down low in the harness - if you just go a little higher on the door, the wires are much easier to reach and tie into - I spent 20 minutes removing tape on the harness and then realized I could tap in about 4 inches higher up the harness.
2. I had to remove the seat. My seat in my 2007 JKU had the bracket described in the instructions, but it was factory spot welded in place (Not with 2 torx bolts as the instructions say. I lifted up the seat and removed the bracket with a grinder. The bracket contains a module with can't be tied to the seat because it is wired to the seat frame. I left it to the side of the subwoofer. This added at least 45 minutes to the install time.
3. The signal from the speaker wire taps was providing too much signal for the included Kicker amplifier (Even when set to High mode on the Amp) When the radio was turned up more than 1/3 the amp went into 'Protect' mode. I had to go to Best Buy and buy a signal limiter. Cost about $15 but it did correct the issue. Add another hour for that purchase an install.
4. They say you can tap the Remote 12v power from the lighter. - I wasted at least 30 minutes trying to get the lighter socket out - maybe a special tool would do it? I gave up and ran power from the M6 Fuse in the Fuse box. Why that isn't part of the instructions blows my mind since you are already running Main power from the battery which is 4 inches from the fuse box. Add another 30 minutes for re-running that wire (I had already closed up everything after the Main Power run).

Even with the installation nightmare - I still have to say that this is a great sounding product. It is the perfect amount of bass in a small form factor. I would recommend it, but I would suggest you check under your passenger seat first to make sure you are comfortable with any required de-fabrication.

Another positive is that you don't have to use the screws to mount the components to the body making holes in your Jeeps body. Both components (Pod and Amp) fit snugly under the seats and will not move around. (Some may want to screw it down for vibration purposes, but mine is on the carpet so I felt it would be fine).

Again - if you don't mind some extra install steps - this is a nice sounding product.
