Smittybilt tonneau covers are crafted from the most durable components and designed for a hassle-free installation. This JL tonneau is custom fit for JL 4 door applications providing a perfect fit that will not flap in the wind. This cover easily attaches using your OEM soft top tub rails so it will not limit access to the rear seats or tailgate. The tonneau includes Boots that seal around the roll bar with velcro hook and loop fasteners for a tight seal. The black diamond material is water resistant which enables the tonneau to hold up to the elements. The smooth, sleek look gives your Jeep a custom stylish look. Note: Tailgate Channel is needed for install. Vehicles with OEM soft top will already have tailgate channel

I used it to keep things secure in my back trunk area so nothing would fly out on the highway. Works great for that. I do not use the window bar every time I use it for that purpose and it still works fine. It has to be removed to putthe side and back wi dows back on, of course. Took me all of 10 mins to put on. Corners will pop off at times. I have a soft top, I can and DO put the soft top down while this is in place. No problem. It has a zipper at back seat side. I want to purchase the wind stopper that I assume attaches to that zipper, but cannot find the part to order that goes with it?? That is a nuisance! Works for what I bought it for, but trying to add to this product has been displeasing.

Can this be used with a 2018 jl 4 door with the hard top removed without any other parts?
No. It will require the use of a tailgate retainer bar that soft top models come equipped with. You will need to purchase one if you do not have the factory soft top. See the following link for the required bar. Mopar JL tailgate Bar Thanks for your inquiry.
Can this be used with your soft top folded all the way down?
No, the soft top will need to be removed
I have a 2019 Night eagle Wrangler 4 door. Can this be fitted over the cargo area of this type?
This will work on your 2019 JL Unlimited 4-Door, yes. It requires your soft top to be removed and use of the factory tailgate bar.
