The hood brackets are much sturdier than the factory set, I also do not see them fading, or becoming weathered.

I didn't need new latches but I wanted some that were stronger than the oems. These were difficult to put on in terms of being able to line up the barrel to the hooks but eventually I just forced it to work. My hood will definitely never move.

Work with the SmittyBuilt XRC Fenders with Zero Modifications

Compatibility & Modification Details
Mounting Points: The Smittybilt XRC fenders (specifically the Armor/Tube series) replace the factory fender and often require you to re-drill holes to remount your hood latches.
The "3-Hole" Factor: These TACTIK latches use a 3-hole mounting pattern. If your XRC fenders only have two pre-drilled holes or use a different spacing (common on aftermarket steel fenders), you will need to drill a third hole into the 3/16" steel plate of the fender to secure the lower portion of the latch.
