1. Compatibility with your Soft Top
Soft Top Up: This cover will not fit if your soft top is in the "up" position. It is engineered to drape directly over your windshield and the sport cage (roll bars) when the top has been removed.
Soft Top Folded Down: While some Jeep owners attempt to fit covers over a folded soft top, this specific TACTIK cover is designed to fit the contours of the sport cage. Using it over a folded soft top can create a bulky fit, potentially preventing the cover from securing properly or leading to water pooling.
2. Fastening to your Jeep
Regarding your preference to avoid throwing straps under the vehicle:
How it attaches: This cover secures using integrated heavy-duty straps and buckles that hook to the lower body of your Jeep (typically the pinch welds or specific factory locations along the side).
Installation process: As with most cab covers, you will need to reach underneath or along the side to secure these hooks to the vehicle’s frame or rocker area. Because this cover relies on these side-tension straps to pull the fabric taut and prevent "flapping" in the wind, you will likely need to attach these straps at the bottom of the vehicle on both sides.
