What's the difference between black diamond and black denim?
Black Denim is the OE grain the the material and color for factory soft tops from 1988 until 2000 model year. In 2001 the factory soft top material thickness went to Sailcloth material and the texture of the material changed to black diamond. Black Denim name was still being used on Replace a Tops in 01-02. Bestop adopted the name Black Diamond on all of the products 2003 and above. Black Diamond has a little more shine to it, it holds it’s color a little better than traditional Black Denim.
