Dual Locking, large hidden storage area will keep your CDs, cassettes & valuables safe and hidden. Does not interfere with fold & tumble rear seat in folded up position.
Note: Jeep must have 8 1/4" clearance between driver and passenger seats to fit

What is this made of? The main locking compartment? I realize some parts will be plastic.
The Rampage Products Deluxe Locking Console is primarily constructed from heavy-duty wood (specifically medium-density fiberboard or particle board) that is fully wrapped in marine-grade vinyl.
While it may look like all plastic or metal in photos, the core structural material for the main locking compartment is chosen for its weight, cost, and ability to dampen vibrations better than a metal box.
Main Compartment Core: Wood/MDF construction provides the structural shape. It is solid enough to hold its form but is not a steel security safe.
Exterior Covering: Marine-grade vinyl is used to wrap the entire console. This material is designed to resist UV rays and moisture, which is essential for Jeeps often left with the top down.
Locking Lid: The lid features the same wood/vinyl construction but is reinforced at the latch point.
Plastic Components: The front and rear cup holders are made of high-density plastic, as are the internal organizer trays and the leveling feet.
Hardware: The locking mechanism and hinges are steel.
