Quadratec Maximum Duty Nitro 8.0 Rear Shock Reviews
Reliable great off-road performance!
These appear well made, and do a good job of controlling the inherently bouncy Curry RockJock dual-rate springs. I'm happy with the ride, they do not seam stiff.
My only issue is they run a little longer than advertised. They stop compressing, and start carrying the weight of my jeep, at about 15.5", when there advertised to go down to 14.91". That 0.6" does make a difference, and is presenting issues for me.
Yes, a little stiff ride especially with the SuperSprings but I was very pleased with the control and didn't complain about the ride.
*Fair warning*: these are wider/larger diameter bodies so *IF* you re-locate the lower rear shock mounts behind the control arm (like the Clayton Offroad mounts) they *will* hit the frame and eventually pop causing you to go to the Bilsteins.
