Teraflex Front Swaybar Quick Disconnects for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ

The design of these end links are great. Like others though, I had to tap the lower mounting spindle as they were not threaded completely. Plan to buy a tap to do this if you don’t already have one. If you’re wondering about length, the sway bar should optimally be parallel to the ground at rest height.

These Teraflex sway bar disconnects could have been a five star rating. However the lower threaded studs absolutely would not thread onto the original spring perch stud. I first thought my 1990 YJ might have bent spring perch studs ,so removed them to clean up with a bench grinder and a bench vise to see why the brand new Teraflex lower studs would not thread on to the old threads. After a run to a specialty hardware store late saturday afternoon and buying a 1/2" fine thread tap and a few minutes to open the threads on the teraflex lower studs, the things went on like hot butter on toast. So other than the extra time and cost and aggravation, I'm satisfied with these Teraflex pain in the butt disconnects.

Only three stars because of the aggravation. Like the previous reviewer, I had to open up the threads on the lower stud adapter with a 1/2-20 tap.
They thread on adapter would go on fine in reverse but absolutely would not go on the way they are supposed to. It's definitely a fault of the tapping operation when they were made, the tap was not advanced far enough to cut the threads fully in the shaft.
After the threads were opened up, The thing went together in minutes.
