aFe Power 49-46225 MACH Force XP 2.5" Exhaust System for 91-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 4.0L

I bought this kit used from a fellow XJ’er but I’m writing this review because there’s not many reviews on it and i think it deserves a review. I love the design of this exhaust, it’s simple to install as It uses only a 2-piece design (tailpipe/muffler) versus the 3-piece design (tailpipe/intermediate pipe/muffler) that most other cat-back systems use for these Cherokees. I previously had the flowmaster FlowFx cat-back on my XJ but i swapped it out to this aFe kit because this kit seemed better engineered and has a mellow tone. As far as sound level goes I’d say this is quieter than both the banks monster kit and the flowmaster Flowfx kit. To better describe the sound level, id say this kit is comparable to the dynomax and pypes. I chose this kit because It had no drone and had a rumble at low rpms but wasn’t obnoxious like the FlowFx system I previously had. I have 1” lift shackles in the back so I had to get creative with the rear hanger. I bought a universal hanger at the auto parts store and mounted It to the trailer hitch bolt. It seems to sturdy enough to hold the exhaust down and away from the hitch and shackle.
