Quadratec Competition Cat Back Exhaust System by MagnaFlow Reviews
Arrived from Quadratec in two days. Quality of construction very impressive with good fit and easy installation. Nice mellow sound but if you rev it up it will bark. I recommend as a quality replacement.
I paired it with Banks Torque tubes and Magna Flo Cat. Low end torque a noticeable difference.
Hey, I installed this on my 1999 Wrangler 4.0 back around 2012! The factory exhaust was tired'n loud. So I went with the Banks header, Magnaflow catalytic converter, and this Q exhaust! Install is pretty straight forward! The factory stuff weighed tons! The weight savings alone are worth it!? Anyway, it's been around seven years and the system is still solid and as described! Stainless is the way to go! Only draw back is the immediate lose of low end torque compared to the factory setup. Must not be enough back pressure? I suspect a free flowing Edelbrock head would improve the situation!
I installed this product along with the Magnaflow 23227 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter. So basically everything from the header back on a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport. No issues whatsoever. You will need new 3/8 x 2 inch bolts to mate the flange connection between the first pipe length aft of the header. I had to cut the OEM press-fit bolts, apply heat and tap them out of the header. That was the hardest part of the job. Inspect the two rear hanger brackets ahead of time. One of mine was very corroded and replacing it later will be a lot more difficult with the new exhaust in place. Very happy with the purchase. Nice polished SS exhaust tip. All components very well packaged.
