Will this fit a 1973 AMC Javelin with a 401 cid (6.6L)? Looks the same
No, the OMIX 17622.09 left-side exhaust manifold kit will not fit a 1973 AMC Javelin with a 401 cid V8 engine.
Engine Platform Difference: While AMC manufactured the 304, 360, and 401 V8 engines found in both Jeeps and AMC passenger cars of that era, passenger car chassis (like the Javelin body style) feature completely different steering shaft clearance, crossmember layouts, and inner fender routing than Jeep CJ and SJ utility vehicles.
Manifold Geometry: The exit angle and runner sweep on a Jeep utility manifold will collide with the steering column or motor mounts in a passenger car body like the Javelin.
