Crown Automotive 52002633PL 20 Gallon Gas Tank for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ

Well built. Very similar to the original but slightly taller. Was left with a 1/2" gap between the skid plate and the frame in the front. Fill and vent connections ended up higher too (had to be connected prior to tightening the tank to the frame). Straps worked; though were about a 2" too short to attach properly. Had to improvise. Otherwise no complaints. We'll see how it holds up.

The tank itself is of great quality, no issue with that but just be ready to do some fab work. This model tank is not a direct replacement. I ordered the same same tank from a different site. When putting in the pump use two boards underneath on each side of the tank so you are able to push the middle of the tank down. Next, the straps provided do not fit your original skid plate. I had to cut notches above the original holes in the skid plate to attach the straps on the front part so the straps would actually reach over the tank to the rear. Better have some help or a crow bar when putting it back in. The tank is a little bigger around the edges so i believe it hits a brace above the rear trac bar and it will give you your moneys worth trying to put it back in. The only concern is this tank does not have the additional plastic sump for the pump to sit in so im not sure how it will do offroad if you intend on climbing any water falls on a quarter tank of gas. My tank has been in for a couple of days and works so far. Happy Jeeping!
