Magnaflow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter Reviews
Easy to install. Sounds good
Not a direct replacement.
I purchased this for a new 4.0 motor that I am installing on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. This pre-cat system does not match the bends and close fitment to the sump area on the oil pan of the 4.0 like the OEM downpipe/pre-cat. The Magnaflow pre-cat/downpipe 5209 protrudes so far in front of the oil pan and has a much wider spacing between the parallel portions on the driver side and passenger side pipes that it sits only about an inch from my driver's upper control arm leaving no room for suspension articulation.
In short. I will have to get a muffler shop to chop this to pieces and re-weld a custom fitted system with it, or simply return it for a refund.
