Is this California legal? also is it a direct fit?
This is a direct fit item for all the 4.0L engines of these years. Omix does not have their exhaust components go through carb certification, so they will not be able to supply any proof that this is CA legal. However during original production there was only 1 version of this manifold used on all models with the 4.0 drive train. If there was a CA vs Federal emissions version of this then it would have been called out in replacement parts system that is still maintained, and a different part number would be used.
The description says 87-98 YJ with 4.0. I have an 87 and not sure if it's 4.0 or 4.2 is that going to be a problem if my motor is 4.2. And how can I tell the difference (new to the Jeep world) And I see some manifolds with the O2 sensor bung but not on this header. Is it just one sensor for the vehicle or two?
4.2L Engines were had carburetors. The 4.0L is fuel injected. The listing has been fixed, this is for a 91-95 YJ so the emissions will line up with later oxygen sensor placement
