Factor 55 Splicer Shackle Mount
Description
Eliminate the winch hook and replace it with a safer and stronger D-ring shackle thimble from Factor 55. The Splicer is the world's first splice on synthetic rope shackle mounting thimble with rope protection and integrated rubber pad. Made from billet aluminum construction these come with a rubber guard for fairlead and thimble protection. Fits standard 3/4" d-ring shackles. Unlike the Factor 55 ProLink and Flatlink shackle mount products, The Splicer requires synthetic rope splicing knowledge. We recommend either the locking Brummel Splice or Long Bury Splice. There are many rope splicing video tutorials available on the web.

This thing is great! It protects the line and makes for a very tidy looking winch install. I used the Factor 55 Fast Fid to do the long bury splice. The Factor 55 videos show this is not difficult to install.

Replaced the factory hook that came with my Smittybilt X2O synthetic rope winch. Gives the bumper a cleaner look. Safer than a standard hook and easy to connect to anchors using D shackles or soft shackles.

I purchased the tool for knitting to put this on, the steel braid one they sell is amazing but you can get by, also learning how to do this lets you learn how to do a trail fix if worse case.
