Once installed in the factory hardtop, the Topliner significantly improves audio acoustics, reduces outside noise from exhaust or wind, and will help in keeping the optimal internal temperature where you like it to be while providing an OEM quality feel. Each piece of the kit is specifically designed to fit the original hardtop of any model Jeep Gladiator JT. The included 3M adhesive pads make installation a breeze.

Can i put something like kilmat sound deadening material down first or will it affect the fit of this product
Yes, you can use a thin butyl sound-deadening mat like Kilmat underneath the Coverking SPC683 Topliner Hardtop Insulation Kit, as long as you keep it relatively low-profile.
Because the Topliner panels are custom-molded to hug the fiberglass contours closely with minimal clearance around latches and trim edges, adding an excessively thick layer can cause the mounting pads to lose adhesion or prevent the panels from sitting completely flush. If you apply a standard thin layer of sound deadening and roll it down flat and tight against the fiberglass, the Coverking kit will still fit without issue.

However, the dense polycarpet material and air gap do a great job absorbing hollow fiberglass echo and noticeably cutting down high-frequency wind rush and road drone.
