EATON Trutrac Limited Slip Differential for 76-18 Jeep CJ, and Wrangler YJ & TJ Dana 44 Rear axle with 3.73 and Numerically Lower Gear Ratio & JK with All Gear Ratios
The Detroit Truetrac was the first type limited-slip differential in the industry. The patented design of parallel axis planetary helical gears provide a quiet, automatic splitting of torque. Power transfer goes literally unnoticed by the driver, even in front-wheel drive axles! The Truetrac performs like an open differential under normal driving conditions and automatically transfers torque to the wheel with better traction when ground conditions warrant.
Note: Fits 76-06 Jeep CJ, Wrangler YJ, & TJ with 3.73 & numerically lower gear ratios. Fits 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with all gear ratios..
Note: 2007-18 Jeep Wrangler JK require drilling 1/2" holes to match the factory original JK ring gear.

EATON Trutrac Limited Slip Differential Reviews
Price and reputation.
Ok.
That was hell. I could not get the bearings off the original carrier. Had to make some magic and POOF! They are off!
The bearings that come on the OEM "Trak-Lok" are a KOYO 25523-N Cup, and 25590-N Cone. The KOYO website references a 25578 cone, and a 25523 Cup.
Confusing as this doesn't correlate to the Shaft diameter of the Differential carrier (1.80). I am simplifying this.
So, if you can use the original carrier bearings from your trashed OEM Trak-Lok worthless clutch differential, great (failed around 17K miles).
If not, the part# from your local is; Timken part for the TJ D44/JKD44 (NOT RUBICON) is 25590 Cone, 25523 Cup.
Get this Eaton, a shim kit, and the bearings and you have a weekend installation for trouble/worry free instantaneous traction. You might notice the JK Brake system activation but the go straight out of a mudhole is seamless and un-noticeable.
Use a good, cheap, dino 75-140, GL-5 without any modifiers and this should do 90% of any trail you want.
For the other 10%, I suggest Quadratec Part #: 16100-1017
EATON Part #: 19977-010.
For the Money, I can't justify the cause.
BTW, Quadratec Customer Service is awesome. They confirmed what I found with the Eaton Rep, and got back in a timely manner. Most appreciated.
Will keep me coming back again.
I have this in my 2010 jku, front and rear, with 4.88 gears, and automatic transmission. Extremely happy with this set up.
