I have a 2008 jk top, and 2014 jk with no brackets. Given this answer

what bracket do I need?
If the top is 07-09 , then you would want this bracket style. https://www.quadratec.com/products/11132_9109.htm. Match the bracket to the year of the top you have, not the year of the Jeep. Thanks for your inquiry.

Is this just for an OEM soft top? I just purchased a used Bestop super top nx but the previous owner sold their Jeep with the brackets attached to the roll bar. My Jeep has never had a soft top on so I don’t have brackets for one. Trying to figure out if these are the brackets I need as I have all other hardware needed.
