Reviews for DV8 Offroad FDJL-02 Slim Fenders for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL
Slim and looks
Awesome fitment and easy install. Great value.
They look great. They take some work to put them in. Make sure you get a metric rivet tool, hardest part was finding the tool had to order online. But afterwards works great
I have looked at a lot of venders and only a few offer aftermarket fenders for the JL. Some are too pricy, and some are too cheap. I found these to be affordable, and with the inner fender bundle, it was a no brainer. Fenders fit great, the rear appear not to follow the curve in the body line, but that doesn't stop if from doing its job. I think they look great, they were easy to put on, the nut inserts take some practice to get right, you can over tighten them, if you don't tighten them enough, they spin. I used an air compressor impact driver to put them on and found that 3 revolutions did the trick. One thing to note, if you get the inner fenders, you must put the rear ones in before the fender, the inner fenders bolt into 3 small holes on the body, one of those holes are also intended to be used for the fender, so I cut that part out of the inner fender. If I could submit pictures I would. The rear inner fenders have to be pushed and wedged into place, but I am sure they are secure. The front inner fenders use the plastic push things that the factory ones were secured with. You will want to go to an auto store to purchase new ones, and some extra in your glove box...I can see them coming off under extreme off roading. All in all, 4-6 hour install including removing factory fenders and inners. Have not rubbed them on rocks yet, but look forward to it.
Install was pretty straightforward. Had to buy after market lights to make up for the loss of my blinkers.
