So we installed our soft top, love it other than can’t get it tight enough. But my question is in order to take the top off to ride for the day with it off can we roll it to the front or do we have to take it off completely?
You would have to uninstall it for truly top off driving.

Yes, you would have to remove these to reinstall your hard top. The material itself is waterproof. This top is designed to protect you from sudden showers and adverse weather. However, this top is not designed to be waterproof and water can enter the cab during heavy down pours.

What is the difference in parts with the factory hardtop & regular version for the 2010-18 model year? I wonder if I could make it work with just the plain option. Clear that up for me please. Thanks!
This top requires a tailgate bar with retainers and door surrounds. The 07-09 Model Years version of this top reuses the factory tailgate bar and door surrounds. The 10-18 Model Years version of this top reuses the factory cable style door surrounds and tailgate bar. The 07-18 With Factory Hardtop version of this top comes with door surrounds, tailgate bar, and retainers.

Why is it so much if you only have a hard top?
The soft top version reuses factory soft top door surrounds, tailgate bar, and clips. The hardtop version comes with these parts.
