I have a 2014 JKU. Can I use the front portion of this with the front door surrounds, or does the front connect a portion to the rear door surrounds? (I don't want to use rear door surrounds...)

Can I buy the door extensions and if so, what product is this? Please be specific.
The combo top can be best used with OE style factory soft top door surround channels. If you do not have them from an original soft top, the most cost effective way to get them is with a set from Mastertop. See the following link. Mastertop soft top door surround kit. Thanks for your inquiry.

The instructions specifically state 07-10. Will this fit a 2017 JKU?
They will fit up to 2018 JK Wranglers. The installation instructions are the same.

No unfortunately this will not fit the JL body style.

It does not say the back seats can just be covered. Is it not possible to have the front piece removed and just have coverage for the back seats?
It is not designed to be used in that manner. There is no method to connect the leading edge of the rear section to the sport bar tight enough that it will not flap and rip apart.
