Reviews for Quadratec QRC Front Winch Ready Bumper for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Love everything about the winch except for how far back the winch mounting holes are. I have an Badlands Apex 12k winch and the wires are mashed into the grill and there’s a couple inches space in front.
I really like the look of this bumper, it keeps a classic style without getting into gaudy territory. Functionality seems really good and it appears to be pretty bulletproof. Price and shipping time were absolutely beyond exceptional. Like every Jeep mod, this didn’t just bolt up in 20 minutes like you think. One of the studs did not line up with frame holes, so had to bend it a little. The holes for the bolts wouldn’t line up either and it took a while to figure out there are brackets on the frame that need to be adjusted to line things up. Lastly, access to the winch mounting bolts is a total joke, especially the rear two. I’m still trying to figure out how to torque these down before use. A regular socket will not reach these and my hands are way to big to conveniently start threading the bolts. Otherwise, I’m happy with the end results. Just a little more of a PITA to install than expected.
Installed 10K Warn winch and then on with bumper, no problems. There was a dent in the tubing but short call to customer service and resolved with a discount.
Arrived quickly, and it was packaged well. (Mine has one paint chip on the end of the bumper, and a small dent on top of the bull bar, but it's a Jeep... It'll look worse eventually. No fault of Quadratech, they did what they could to protect it from the FedEx driver.)
Installation was pretty easy, even though I did a majority of the install solo. No issues reusing my factory Sport S halogen foglights. Mounting a winch should be done before the bumper is installed, it's pretty tight in there. If the winch mounting holes were a little further forward, it may help. So far the quality is pretty impressive for the price. Looks great!
Installed much easier than removing the OEM bumper, for sure. Never seen instructions so detailed and helpful for a bumper before, kudos to Quadratec! Used an impact driver to speed up disassembly of the OEM bumper (lots of small screws!) to access the fog lights and wiring. Installed on a 2020 Gladiator Mojave with no fitment issues. Removed the OEM skid plate per instructions, but I think I can modify it in a few minutes with an angle grinder+cutoff wheel to reinstall. Winch mounting area was a little tight- my old reliable Superwinch dropped in place, but can't quite get its cover to fit.
This bumper was a great addition to my new Jeep.
Packaging was safe and secure zero issues with product.
Stout bumper with great finish.
Gladiator Rubicon everything fit tight. Factor driving lights fit perfect.
Factory bumper is a pain to remove and separate to get factory fog light wiring harness. If I had to do over would order new harness.
With help of my sons 15 & 16 only took a couple of hours including winch and extra spot lights.
Solid bumper, I would totally by this again. Simple install
I’m 68 years old and not a mechanical genius and I had no problem installing this front bumper on my 2021 Rubicon JLU. The key is carefully lining up holes on Jeep frame and lifting with your knees! Looks great and offers great protection. Bumper readily received a winch from another manufacturer without any problems. I would recommend without hesitation. Watch the Quadratec video!
Love the look!! The winch set up is awesome and the bumper is sturdy!
