I have the 3 piece steel bumper. Could I install this winch without taking off the bumper or will I have to take the bumper off to install?

Would the 8,000 lbs be ok for a 99 Jeep Wrangler? To maybe tow another jeep or small vehicle or pull the wrangler out if its stuck itself? Or should a 10,000 lbs be used.
8000 lbs is the minimum we recommend for most Jeep vehicles. If you have a lot of heavy modifications (Bumpers, rack, skid plates, big tires), you may want to consider going to a 10k.
Warn website shows a sheath to protect the synthetic rope. The one you sent me didn’t have the sheath? Is that a separate purchase item and if so what is the Quadratec part number?
