Yes, the steel cable and synthetic rope are interchangeable. Just make sure you also purchase the proper fairlead for the synthetic rope.

Yes, synthetic winch line can effected by UV-rays but Warn has engineered them with a UV-stability coating for long lasting performance.

Does this winch only come with roller fairlead?
If you select the steel cable version it will include a roller fairlead, but if you select the synthetic rope option it will include a hawse fairlead.
